Ok, so I managed to get it 'partially' working by uninstalling, deleting any traces of files related to Paragon NTFS, releasing the license, reinstall and reactivate. Now I am able to write to my NTFS volumes. Powerful pdf tool a-pdf merger for mac. However, there is still no option to format a drive with NTFS in Disk Utility (El Capitan), NTFS is not listed amongst OSX Extended, FAT and ExFAT. I am afraid to reinstall it again for fear of breaking it once again.

So Yes, it can still write to my NTFS drives but Disk Utility still have NO option to format a drive with NTFS and I can also confirm what fotensity said above - it does not see the partition, file system is unknown, writable is no, etc. So I then proceeded to uninstall it, downloaded a trial copy from (which has a version of 14.0.382), installed it and it gets activated right away. Tried my tests again, same results as above - can write to the NTFS drive but Disk Utility has gone all confused.

This is really bad. I am tempted to revert back to Yosemite and go with NTFS v12 again but will give Paragon some time to respond to this significant issue.

This is known problem which appears with next scenario: 1) Install NTFS for MAC 14 2) Upgrade OSX to 10.11 El Capitan 3) NTFS drives mount only as read only (without write permissions) In this case it is required to reinstall driver and reboot (sometimes multiple times) Also for now it is not possible to use format verify repair functionality as before from disk utility.
