Isabel Kantor Ant: Launch Flash Player Target For Mac

I've recently installed on my late 2012 macbook pro 13' retina Maverick.but the feeling is that's slow! Beside some apps freezing and some reboots, the general feeling is that the mac is.sticky. I would'nt say really slow, but it's for sure less responsive and I have a general feeling like having an old machine, with a lot of RAM usage and, I repeat, somehow 'sticky' (don(t know if you see what I mean.) am I the only one experiencing this?

Is there a solution? Anyway it's quite disappointing, moreover given the price of the macbook pro 13 retina I expected much much better. Section B Wednesday, October 21, 2015 The McLeod County Chronicle ports S By Tom Carothers Sports Editor With the close of the regular season at hand, the Glencoe- Silver Lake cross country teams competed in the Water- town-Mayer Invitational on Tuesday, Oct. It was the final race of the season before the conference, section and state meets.

The Panther boys finished second in the meet, buoyed by a first-place finish from Michael Schaefer. The senior honed his form before cham- pionship meet season with a winning time of 17 minutes, 18.6 seconds – over four sec- onds better than Zachary Boos of Annandale. Austin Schroepfer claimed third-place in the individual boys’ standings with a time of 17:35.26, beating out fourth- place Chris Groth of Annan- dale by six seconds. Tony Fischer placed 13th in 18:33.59, with Joseph Knudten taking 15th in 18:40.52 and Oscar Pena plac- ing 17th in 18:54.78 to ac- count for GSL’s team score of 49. Also running for the Pan- ther boys were Tyler Haus- laden (25th, 19:34.52) and Jakob Rusten (38th, 20:55.80). Cross country 2nd, 4th at W-M By Tom Carothers Sports Editor The Glencoe-Silver Lake girls’ soccer season came to a close on Tuesday, Oct. 13 with a 5-0 loss at Mankato Loyola in the opening round of the Section 2A Tourna- ment.

After holding Loyola score- less for nearly a half-hour, the Panthers allowed their hosts a pair of quick goals and could not recover before the final horn sounded to close out GSL’s season. The Panthers finished with a 2-10-3 overall record and were 1-7-2 in Wright County Conference play.

GSL’s wins came over Worthington in the second game of the fall and at Jordan in the regular-season finale. Along the way, the Pan- thers also claimed three ties, knotting up with Spectrum, Mayer Lutheran and Rock- ford. Emily Thalmann was GSL’s leading goal scorer this season, with four. She also had a team-best two assists.

Shelby Clouse had three goals, with Jordan Breiden- bach scoring twice this year. GSL girls bow out in sections By Tom Carothers Sports Editor With yet another three- game sweep, this time of Rockford, the Glencoe-Silver Lake volleyball team clinched at least a share of the Wright County Conference West championship Monday night.

However, coach Lori Schwirtz had little time for any talk of splitting the crown with anyone this season – pointing instead to the one critical game remaining on the team’s schedule. “We can win the title out- right on Thursday,” she said.

“We don’t want to share it this year.” The Panthers, 24-5 overall, take a 6-0 conference record into Thursday night’s contest at WCC West foe Annandale. The Cardinals saw their chance at possibly sharing the conference championship go by the wayside in a five-game match loss to Dassel-Cokato on Thursday, Oct. However, with GSL holding a one-half game lead over sec- ond-place New London- Spicer – which has completed its conference slate – Annan- dale could still play the role of spoiler. The Panthers swept NL-S on Tuesday, Sept. 22, but the conference does not take head-to-head record into ac- count when determining a champion. That means a loss to the Cardinals and GSL must share the spoils with the Wildcats.

If Monday’s match was any indication, the Panthers ap- peared well prepared for the conference finale. GSL stormed to victory in less than an hour, winning in three straight (25-15, 25-7 and 25-20). The Rockets put up a bit of a fight in the final game, tak- ing leads of 4-1 and 14-10, before the Panthers surged. GSL took the lead for good at 25-21 and iced the game on a kill by middle hitter Maddy Kalenberg.

Fellow middle hitter Erika Ribar led the team with seven kills on the night, with Kalen- berg, middle hitter Maddie Monahan and outside hitter Rachael Popp each logging four kills in the match. Setter Layne Herrmann had 21 set assists to lead the Pan- thers, with Ribar’s 12 digs also pacing the squad. Ribar also became the all- time team leader in ace blocks, passing Stephanie Klockmann’s former team record of 114 during the Lady Panthers clinch share of WCC West championship Volleyball Turn to page 2B By Tom Carothers Sports Editor The lone remaining com- petitors for the Glencoe-Sil- ver Lake girls’ tennis team saw their seasons come to a close in the Section 2A indi- vidual tournament on Thurs- day, Oct. 15 at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Senior Lindsay Wedin and junior Teanna Vorlicek, seed- ed sixth in the doubles brack- et, defeated Julia Elmquist and Marissa Johnson of Southwest Christian 6-1, 6-0 in opening-round play before falling 6-4, 6-2 to Kelli Han- son/Josie Carlson of St. Peter in the quarterfinals.

It was the final high school match for Wedin, who played for the Panthers for four sea- sons and was the lone return- ing varsity player on this year’s squad. If the Panthers were able to again defeat their East Central South Dis- trict rivals – GSL defeated the Fire 42-21 on Friday, Sept. 11 – they will face either third-seeded Providence Academy or No. 2 seed Belle Plaine for the section title and a trip to the state tournament on Saturday. The 2AAA championship game is slated to kick off at 3 p.m.

Albrecht, who was with him, yelled to the field for Lyle’s father, Leonard, and they tried to free him. Eddie and Harold Winter- feldt rushed over with a jack and were able to take some of the pressure off him, and called for the fire department, which dug around Lyle and used a hack saw to take apart the steer- ing wheel so he could be freed after being trapped 1 1 ⁄2 hours.
