For what you're doing, the 480 is fine. As an aside, though, I've been doing a bit of research and I can't find anyone who has successfully hackintoshed a 480 with CUDA enabled. According to tonymacx86, it should work, so if you can just return it, I'd definitely give it a try. If you have the option, I'd try and go for an EVGA branded one (not an overclocked one), but if you already got the card, don't worry about it.
